Dr. Ginger Garner (PT, DPT, ATC/LAT, PYT) is an expert of yoga in healthcare and an experience orthopaedic physical therapist, licensed athletic trainer and a renowned educator. As the founder of Pro Yoga Therapy Institute and the author of Medical Therapeutic Yoga: Biopsychosocial Rehabilitation and Wellness Care, she is an internationally recognized public speaker and influential advocate for health care, gender equality and social justice for mothers. Dr. Garner believes yoga—combined with exercise and rehabilitative science—is the missing piece in addressing the opioid epidemic and best care practice in healthcare. Since the 1990’s, Dr. Garner has been a trailblazer in transforming rehabilitation, injury prevention and wellness by offering yoga-based health care for the “whole person”. Also a talented musician, Dr. Garner has performed internationally for multiple organizations and festivals.
