3rd Annual Alumni Costa Rica Retreat

April 4, 2020 - April 11, 2020

April 4, 2020 – April 11, 2020

3rd Annual PYTI Retreat to Costa Rica

What

Hola, pura vida! Join us for some serious relaxation and rejuvenation in 2020! This retreat is open to any PYTI student, alumni, or their family!

The pristine Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica is where we are headed! Spend a week off the grid getting your groove back with us at Boca Sombrero!

You’ll enjoy a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean while doing yoga in the amazing yoga hut, which is just a hop and skip from the ocean. Open air spa treatments, plus surfing and surfing lessons, tree climbing, horseback riding, bird watching, and a lot of hammock swinging away you! We all share teaching while we are there, and Ginger will also add a few sessions on partner yoga, inversions, and other groovy topics!

Get Away. Slow Down. Exhale. Disconnect from tech. Our world moves too fast and our jobs often require too much. Our time at Boca together is the PERFECT place to capture some fellowship and solitude.

Who

Students, alumni, and their family are invited to attend and we encourage you to bring your family. Boca is a family friendly resort. Folks who have studied or worked with Ginger are also invited!

Where

Join us at this off the grid paradise on the Osa Peninsula. Trust me, you will not want to come home when the week is up!

Your journey begins in San Jimenez, Costa Rica. A shuttle taxi will take you out of the city and into the Jungle. You will be staying at Boca Sombrero, a wild resort set among great surf and flora. At Boca Sombrero the power is solar, the water is from the ground, and the only air conditioning you need is a cool sea breeze. Highly trained chefs will provide an “exotic blend of delicious and healthy cuisine that is sourced from local farmers.” With limited access to internet or phones, you will be able to separate yourself from the normal humdrum of life and fully enjoy clarity of mind and body.

When

Spring Break – April 4-11, 2020

Cost

Deposit – $250 to secure your spot. Pay your deposit via Paypal, Venmo, or Apple Pay by contacting Ginger directly via email, text, or on social media. We need a minimum of 15 in order to secure the week. Book sooner than later as a result, which will also allow you to have first pick on lodging!

Remaining payments will be automated online.

Payment 1- $500 due after the resort is secured for our week.
Payment 2 – Balance is due 4 weeks before departure.

  • $1800/shared spot in Casa
  • $1700/single spot in tent
  • $1500/shared spot in tent

Transportation Notes

We recommend flying into San Jose, Costa Rica. From there you will need to fly or drive to Puerto Jimenez (PJM). We recommend flying. From PJM, the resort will organize taxis (you pay cash to the driver) to bring you to Boca.

You need to be at PJM by no later than 5 PM on arrival day. Keep in mind that there aren’t many lights around the resort so it gets quite dark after the sun sets. Information on travel and packing for Costa Rica will be provided after booking.
